Completed flush dropped kerb and tarmac driveway entrance in Torquay

Decorative Gravel Driveway with Block Edging

This Teignmouth property needed a larger, lower-maintenance driveway that complemented its established garden.

The existing surface had become uneven, untidy and difficult to maintain. Vectorscape excavated unsuitable material before installing a geotextile membrane and compacted sub-base. The team carefully established levels to support drainage and comfortable vehicle movement. Charcoal block edging created strong boundaries around the driveway, planting and property entrance.

Angular decorative gravel then provided an attractive, free-draining and cost-effective finish. A stabilised entrance helped contain loose material and reduced gravel migration towards the road. Curved edging softened the parking area and connected the new surface with surrounding landscaping. The completed driveway now provides generous parking and a welcoming approach to the property.

This transformation shows how careful preparation can make gravel practical, attractive and durable.
